The runt in the Prizm series is the Prizm II, which would probably make an excellent entry level or extra detector for the kids. In cased you missed it the Prizm V is the big boy in the Prizm Series. Hands down the best place for user feedback on the Prizm II right now is at this Metal Detector Reviews page. When we visited there were thirteen reviews rating the Prizm II with an almost perfect score. The reviewers seem to love about the Prizm II that it's light weight, turn on and go, and most of all the price. Not to much in the way of field tips there, but if you've got a few stop by and add them to the list.
