Tesoro Vaquero

The Tesoro Vacquero is "designed as an all-around detector, able to do just about everything that any detectorist could want to do." Furthermore from the Tesoro site: "The main part of the Vaquero's versatility is its three and three-quarters manually adjusted ground balance. This will give the detectorist the power to set up his machine to best suit the mineralization conditions that he is working in and his personal treasure hunting style."

The Tesoro Website has a nice review and field test of the Vaquero where they begin by liking the Vaquero's light weight. The field test doesn't get into too many details about the metal detector's preferred settings and concludes with "My personal opinion of the Vaquero is two thumbs up! It is one of the best Tesoro models ever produced and will remain in my personal inventory for years to come. It has excellent discrimination, very accurate pinpointing, and astonishing depth."

There's a review and field test of the Tesoro Vaquero at Lost Treasure Magazine. They begin by reviewing the metal detectors features, noting the light weeight of the Vaquero, and going into further detail about the dual purpose sensitivity knob. They end the review with a thumbs up for the metal detector "The Vaquero provides the performance users have come to expect from Tesoro detectors and does so in an uncomplicated manner that allows even novices to keep up with experienced hunters."

Over at Metal Detector Reviews they currently have three positive reviews of the Tesoro Vaquero (go stop by and add yours if you know something about the metal detector). All three reviews mention the Vacquero goes deep, and the reviewer Andy's review is well worth the visit. He recommends and additional coil for the metal detector, lists his air test results, and discusses supertuning his Vacquero.
