Tesoro Tejon

Tesoro on the Tejon: "While the Tesoro Tejon was designed mostly for coin and relic hunters, its user definable controls are simple and easy to use making it able to handle just about any type of treasure hunting that you may wish to try." They also list some of the key features on the Tejon as trigger mode switch, maxboost sensitivity, dual ed180 discrimination circuits, and adjustable audio tone control.

Lost Treasure Magazine has a review and field test of the Tesoro Tejon. And I'm not sure how I glanced over it, but here's what Tejon means "The name 'Tejon' is Spanish for badger which is an animal known to be tough and capable of digging deep." The field test of the Tejon is great because they mention coils used and some of the settings like disc and sensitivity levels like every good field test should. They also mention the Tejon ground balances well and note the unique color scheme of the Tejon.

The Tejon has a field test at the Tesoro Website, the kind we like that doesn't just list the features, but has a paragraph or two about each one. In addition the author offers his preferred settings for the detector and a tip on using the discrimination control, nice. The VERY lengthly review concludes with "What I like about the Tejon is it is classic Tesoro: great iron masking, silent search, very easy to use, very light, very affordable, and it has a lifetime guarantee."

Garys UK Detecting site has a nice review of the Tesoro Tejon where they found an 800 year old penny with the metal detector. The review begins by listing the Tejon's features with some brief commenting, then onto the field test. The summary is a great browse also where they break down the metal detector into pros and cons so you can know what to expect. In conclusion they recommend the Tejon giving the metal detector a 9 out of ten rating but saying the Tejon will take some getting to know.
