Fisher Coin Strike

Fisherlabs says "the Coins Strike is a deep-seeking, accurate, and programmable target ID detector". Some of the coin strikes key features include Digital phase Analysis Technology, auto ground tracking system, four tone audio and numeric target ID, and no motion pinpoint mode. Additionally Fisher says "the Coin Strike will take you to the treasure that others miss. Precise, programmable and pure performance - the Coin Strike!"

Well we couldn't find the link to the Lost Treasure field test of the Fisher Coin Strike metal detector, however we did find an archived copy at Treasurehunting.com. The review quickly covers the main features of the Coinstrike then moves into a field test where they describe some finds made with the Coinstrike, however I didn't see many usage tips. In conclusion they like the Metal Detector for it's ease of use, light weight, and ability to find treasure.

Joan Allen once again has a great archived metal detector review from Treasure hunting magazine. You'll find the field test of the Fisher coin strike at this page by scrolling down the center and hitting the "Field Test Report" button. They take the Coinstrike on the beach, farms, and local commons to test the detector and discuss the finds. There are also a few tips on beach detecting with the coin hunter and multiple tips when they review the features, such as ones on threshold and discrimination. They also have some great photos of finds in the review and end with calling the Fisher Coin Strike as simple and elegant.

The first review (currently) at Tom's Treasure's Fisher Page is of the the Coin strike. The review does a good job of fairly breaking the metal detector down into pros and cons. They like the Coin Strike accurately ID's newer coins however think the metal detector may be a bit overpriced to name a couple points. You'll have to stop by and check out the review to see the additional notes and also read about who the reviewer thinks the Coin Strike is best suited for.

In case you missed it at the Fisher site, here's the link to the Western and Eastern Treasure review of the Coin Strike (note, PDF file): Coin Strike Field Test. In case you don't have a PDF viewer, I transcribed a snippet "As advertised it IS simple, yet DEEP; and probably now the frontrunner for mineralized or trashy metal detecting. That bold statement alone should make people in the hobby stand up and take notice." Furthermore "Relic hunters will love having target ID. in the deep 'All Metal' mode, while coin hunters will enjoy the many disc capabilities with averaging and auto-tracking. The days of carrying 2 or 3 units out to the field are now history!"
