The Bounty Hunter Land Star ranges in price from $300 to $400 dollars usually. Some of the Land Star's features include four levels of iron discrimination for relic hunting, coin depth indicator tells how deep the coin is located, three tone audio feedback, and the Land Star also has a no motion mode which allows targeting without sweeping the coil. The Land Star also comes with an "auto notch mode" which "is a fully automatic discrimination mode that allows the operator turn-on-and-hunt discrimination."

There are currently three reviews of the Bounty Hunter Land Star over at Amazon rating the detector with 4 out of 5 stars. There is one complaint about the Land Star's all metal mode not working properly unless the batteries are new, however another refutes the claim. The first reviewer gives the Land Star high marks and says "To date my husband has found several pieces of jewelry, a ton of coins and a silver dollar coin that dated 1860 (that we sold for $220)." The final reviewer of the Land Star says "It's target processor is extremely reliable for coins" and concludes with "Great metal detector to get you into the hobby cheaply so that you can begin finding some great stuff. Like I said, I've been using mine for 2 years and I don't feel the need to upgrade."

Yes we will probably link to the Bounty Hunter Website for each one of their detectors, including the Land Star. And that's because anybody interested in purchasing a landstar can find the specs on the detector, and even better is they can view some of the finds made by other Land Star Owner's. And if you've already purchased the Land Star this link will also provide you with a digital copy of the Land Star's owner's manual, and for either case they also provide information on the Land Star's 5 year warranty.

The next review is a little old, actually 7 years old as of this writing, but it's on the Bounty Hunter Land Star and is by Lost Treasure Magazine so we'll bookmark it here. They like the simplicity of the land star, the ground balance works in almost any setting including beaches, the multi tone target identifying, how accurate the Land Star is, and that it's quite sensitive. They didn't like the LCD display saying it was much too small. This is a nice long review and worth a visit, that concludes with "if you are looking to buy a deep seeking, stable, accurate, target I.D. discriminator and don't want to take out a second mortgage to do so, take a look at the Land Star."

Metal Detector Reviews currently has eight reviews of the Bounty Land Star giving it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Every one of the reviewers give the Land Star high marks, also elaborating on some of the finds they've made with the Land Star along with a couple tips specific to the Land Star plus a few of their favorite hunting modes for this detector. Overall they recommend the Bounty Hunter Land Star as a great entry level detector for those wanting some nice features but not wanting the high price tag associated with the higher end features.
