Exploring further at JB's Metal Detecting I see a page on XLT tips. Once again these are for the Spectrum series, however a must bookmark for anybody looking to see what's been done with the XLT or are looking for ideas for their own XLT tweaking. Most of the links on this page are old and dead, however scroll down a bit for the real XLT information. Tips include mixed mode tips, how the XLT "reads the ground", backyard experiments, discrimination ideas, multiple coin shooting advice, and even some tips on hunting for Roman coins with the XLT.
